Introducing The Collector's Cabinet, a limited edition collaboration with tech experts Osbee Industries. Created as a contemporary art piece that is also functional, highlighting the design, beauty, and process of whisky.

The Collector’s Cabinet

A stunning, yet subtle, combination of tradition and technology, functional design, and unique artwork. This handcrafted cabinet was created to display a seasoned or new collector’s much loved whisky collection. This special collaboration between Michael Sanzone studio and home automation experts Osbee Industries includes unique artwork made of recycled whisky casks from the Glenfiddich Distillery in Scotland and a curated lighting display. Designed with private residences and offices in mind, as well as the hospitality and restaurant industries, each cabinet can be customized to suit the look and needs of the space it will inhabit, from audio options, remote control, wood choices, to lighting design. Pricing for customizations vary by project.

Whisky Cask Series

The works included in this series began during an Artist in Residence programme at the Glenfiddich Distillery in the Scottish Highlands. Inspired by the journey of wood used to make the casks, Michael became increasingly fascinated by the subsistence of each piece. The barrels were built from Spanish or American oak, transported to Scotland, and then filled, used, and discarded until reclaimed by the Artist.

Works in this series were commissioned for the NYC headquarters of William Grant & Sons Distillers Ltd., makers of Glenfiddich, as well as a large-scale installation at the Malt Barn restaurant at Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown, Scotland.
